Now travelling via Rhodes

Postby dksbbs » 04 Aug 2011 15:54

We were due to travel tmorrow morning Manchester to Dalaman, returning 22nd August, like all of you 9 of us (3 families) have been caught in this mess anyway having looked at all our options we are now going, I thought I would share what we have done as it may be a way for others who haven't thought of it.

OUTBOUND
We now fly Liverpool to Rhodes on Saturday arriving at 13:25 - cost £87 plus £15 luggage with Easyjet pp
Taxi to Rhodes Ferry Terminal circa €20 per family.
17:30 Ferry to Marmaris arriving 18:30, €44 pp
Apartments are collecting us from the port.

RETURN
We had the choice to return from Rhodes but we would have lost two days at the end of our holiday so we are flying from Bodrum to Liverpool at a cost of £190 pp + £15 luggage again with Easyjet.

So if you are really struggling to find flights maybe this is an option, go via Rhodes as the flight companies don't appear to be raising the price for Greek flights due to the H4U failure.

Just a thought.

Bit of a chew but at least you will still get your holidays. Chill out and enjoy with your frinds and family.

At least you will still get your holiday, Dave - and thanks for posting that, as it might well help others in a similar situation. Hope you have a great time - you will deserve it even more after all this!
