early october weather

Hi

I am thinking of booking to come to icmeler late sep early oct and i was wondering what the weather would be like. I have only ever been in turkey june, july and aug before and it has always been roasting.

Our preferred time to visit Icmeler end of September beginning of October the weather is good during the day but may get a little cooler on the night,and it gets darker that bit earlier.

I always go first two weeks in October, and its usually lovely weather, but an odd occassion I wear a cardie in the night, and you get the occassional thunderstorm, which passes soon.

Last Oct was unusually wet and quite cold some days too though.

I think the weather is very unpredictable now. Last October rained for most of my holiday and other Octobers have been fine, hot in the day and cool enough at night to need a jacket or cardigan.
I have never have had to wear a cardigan or likewise at night in late June in all the years I have been going but this year and last year I did. Weird but first week was fine and second week nearer to July got cooler in the evenings. I just think the weather has gone a bit daft so be prepared for anything- sun lotion, cardi and umbrella!

As others have said, it's unpredictable. We always go early october and last year was the first time we were actually cold at night. There were quite a few days when we gave the beach a miss because of the really cool wind and showers. Apart from the odd day, it's always been wall to wall sunshine right through almost till the end of october, but things are changing. We're going 1st october, so hoping for better luck this time round. May wasn't as warm as we hoped, and it rained quite a bit.
