If you do get one make sure you are fully insured both from the point of view of scooter insurance and hoilday health insurance, if you do have an accident some holiday insurance companies will not cover your health care unless you have a full motorcyle license, read your small print.

I hired a motorbike years ago- the place I got it from is not there now but they will want to see your UK motorcycle license before they will let you hire one anyway so dont forget to take it with you on holiday. I thought it was because I am a woman wanting to ride a biggish bike but a guy hired a scooter at the same time and he had to provide his.
Was quite funny and they were all laughing as this big guy got on a little scooter and little five foot nothing me got on the big

motorbike!

We have scooters for hire at our office
Brand new scooters last month but as states previously you must have a motorbike license or class E ticked on your drivers license.
150cc and of course helmets and maps supplied so you can get to those places you would not normally see

You need A or A1 for Motorcycle or P for a moped. If you passed your car driving test on or after 1 February 2001 you will have to have taken a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) course to activate your P entitlement.
Don't know what what the E is for.

B = car
BE = car and trailer
C1 = van
C1E = van and trailer
D1 = minibus

Not that I'll be hiring one, but even those that have passed a cbt won't be entitled to take anyone on the back in the uk, is it different for Turkey.
Just dont want people thinking, ok cool I've passed a cbt over in the uk, and then jump on a moped with a friend/partner on the back and get in trouble for it.
I rode bikes for years, but only 125's and passed a cbt a few times as it only lasted a year or 2 back then. So anyone who has passed a cbt would be well advised to check it's expiry date!
