We only used to carry about £200 - £300, as we used the Nationwide card in the ATM's, but this year as Nationwide now charge, it cost us about £35 for withdrawals, back to the hand luggage for my cash for this Oct and that £35 saved will get us our meals for the day.

I have not been yet this year but last year and in the past I have changed them at the small supermarkets, I have always got the same rate as cash, do not change them at the banks or exchange offices. I have used the BEST supermarket opposite the Romance Restaurant with no issues, after the first time they give you a card which saves taking your passport with you all the time..

Hi bflynch,
I think Wonder pub is between, Cafe Anne on main road and Chateau de ville, on the same side as the Chateau.

Hi the Wonderpub (Wonderboys) is on the main Dolmus road where it goes round towards the beach where the old Elvis bar used to be. It is just up the road from the Mersoy Hotel on the same side of the road and just down from Oscars and the Waterfall restaurant.

Interbank rate is 2.68, so I'd imagine around 2.65-2.66 adewolves

Does the exchange rate drop at certain points of the season?

Postby Chris221273 » 22 Jul 2011 11:02

As above please guys and girls.
Read on another post that the exchange rate normally drops as August arrives!
Is that right?
