I wore trainers, light weight ones last time I did it. The shrub is bloody rough so don't wear sandals.

Hubby did it along with a group of fellow ICR members last June - photos in photo gallery section - and he would definitely advise wearing trainers. He and a few others wore long trousers and were very glad of that, as some of those in shorts were quite badly cut or scratched by some of those shrubs.

Micky, if you check out the previous flag walk threads, especially the ones in the photo gallery, there are various directions and advice on the best way to do it. There is a path, but it's still quite a trek and if you're planning to do it in August, it will be very hot, so make sure you wear plenty suncream, etc, and take plenty of water with you.

I will be there .look out for short fat bald man with long arms dragging along the ground a wooden leg and only one eye which is in the middle of my forehead. So you can recognise me i will be the one wearing the Barnsley shirt.

So are we sponsored by the football teams we support. Or are ICR going to sponsor us?

Will bring my camera for some great shots :D
