Soz about missing yesterday...Im getting too old for these 6am bedtimes!! My head is banging!!

Weather is fantastic! Bit of a breez n pool thermom showing 34 in shade and 44 on balcony.

Exchange rate this morning is between 2.57l & 2.58l so a great rate at the moment.

We went to the Sizzler again last night and had a great meal with great service too along with some banter. Great bunch of lads there n make sure you visit.

Weve eaten out every night the 3 of us and had plenty to drink from brandy, Southern comfort and Efes and an average of £70 for the nights which you cant get anywhere in the uk.

were going to brave the wednesday Market today in this heat too.

Most of the pubs are showing the same..Tina Turner, mick jackson,etc. new acts are Lady GaGa n some gorgess Belly dancers. Got to say though we prefer Majestics from most of the rest of the canal and surrounding and discovered some new hornts around the snickets of old Town.

All in all, So far this Holiday has just enphasised why we like Turkey, Icmeler and its people n will be coming here for many years to come and probably to the same hotel too as we havnt found one better for its atmosphere yet.

Anyway, thats it for today n as long as we arnt suffering as much we shouldnt miss another days blog and if your owt here soon it means ours will be over n i can read your blog n only wish!

Morning all !!
Another scorcher today at the Pool side reading 45 c at the moment with no breeze and a clear blue sky.

Had a nice steak last night at the Wayside before walking down through old town and another beer or two at the Magic garden, which was nice.

It was hot last night at 30c reading on most thermometers and very close.
this mornings rate is 2.58 at local shop so getting better day by day too.
Im having to stay out of the sun a bit today as been a baldy my head is peeling and i look like a lepper!

Just sat here now n im perspiring like mad its that warm and its only half ten Turkey time!
well its a lazy day by the pool today and then off to majestics for a Chinky tonight as we havnt had one yet and see if they are as good as they smell and look?

Well thats it for now and time for a dip in the pool. so untill tomorrow.

Thanks for the blog its getting me ready for 5th aug majestic are favourite restaurant for chinese we usually go for banquet for 2 loads to eat & a bottle of wine cant remember how much but well worth the money

Morning all once again

Just woken up n had a nice full English to start the day off! bit of a late start today after a long night last night n late finish at the pool bar with some other guests. The Daughter hasnt surfaced yet?

Exchange rate at the exchange shop last night had dropped to just over 2.52l. which is a .6 drop since the day before. So it looks like it may be dropping again. But we are going to change some more tonight at the local shop again,so will let you know the locals rates?

it was hard to sleep last night at 30c again. Too chilly with air con on and way too warm without..but thats Turkey for you n wouldnt change here for home. Mind you the thought of my nice bed at home...lovely !!!!!!

had our first walk to the bottom of the canal and beach last night n its true what others have said. the lack of market stalls has lost some of the charm down there. I think it would be a welcome return for all to see them there again. as for the underground market. Derelict, waste blowing around....a shame really!

Had a lovely chinese at majestics. set meal for 3, approx 6 efes, 2 brandy and cola and one cola. all for 98l...bargain!

well todays going to be another lazy day sat around the pool..but covered up i think today..burnt !

Tonights plan is a walk down to the love boat to see a friend that works there and a drink or 3 and then on to the sizzler for our third visit and a nice lamb shank meal for me i think at the "Best table in the house" lol

Well thats it for today and will let you know tomorrow what exchange rate we managed today. So its a dive in the pool and a lazy day under these cleare blue sky's, listening to the crickets and looking at the mountains. The uk and home,work and everything seams so far away and another world for now and the peace,sun and tranquility is paradise for now.

Good for you ,this is great to hear. We are staying at the Grand Aquarium in 4 weeks (5th time) . One of the members of staff was always trying to make us stay up at the Club, so let us know how you find it up there plus lots of pics if you can, have a great time.

Me, my wife and ronnie and reg (the kids) are at the Grand from the 19th July to 3rd August so might just miss you gez45.

I will try and post a review of the place and see if that helps
