daft question i know !!!!

Postby waterfall64 » 05 Jul 2011 20:20

hi peeps, was told today by a friend who has just got back from turkey, not icmeler, that they are pushing for people to pay by euro, and not really wanting the lira, was just wondering if anybody has had the same problem in icmeler, im thinking maybe she went to a larger town, and maybe they were just being rather pushy for the euro, any info would be great ty xxx :D

Depends on the resort, those frequented more by Euro country citizens than any other prefer the euro, Icmeler is mainly brits from Europe so the locals love stirling.

Dave's spot on as usual Waterfall. But if you've got some Euro, you can spend or change them in Icmeler too - as Dave says, it's generally sterling just because of the amount of British people who go.......

You're very welcome Waterfall. I think we've all been in the same boat re asking questions at one time or another and that's the great thing about the forum - doesn't take long to get an answer
Must confess that I'd never considered taking some left over Euro with me until a friend mentioned it - TBH, if I'd changed it back into sterling, I'd have got less so I took it to Icmeler and got a better rate than I would have at home.
We've only got 25 days to wait, so am getting excited myself now!!

Have a great time
