As you can see there are a number of places that do bike hire, one that hasn't been mentioned as yet is the 'bike shop' in the village, most places seem to have Salcano made bikes. I borrowed the bike from a friend so haven't hired one myself but if you do you should explain what you want to do with the bike (mind you they might tell you anything anyway to sell a hire). You asked going to Turunc on the bike I did it last year, very tough climb & even had to get off the bike due to the gradient ( someone said about taking the Dolmus & enjoy the views, (very true but on the Dolmus you don't appreciate the gradient) especially when descending down the other side to Turunc. First time I did it was after friends said they had done it but after I came back they said they were only joking!! - I didn't know what I was undertaking or perhaps I wouldn't have tried. Of course you could always go part way up for the experience & the views, remember to take a camera. Certainly not for women & children. At the top it levels off, & there is a couple of stalls selling water etc, before a very long & steep descent, more dangerous than going up. Certainly wouldn't cycle back so paid 10tl to get the bike back to
Icmeler on a boat.
Set off one morning to have breakfast at Asperan but after reaching the top & saw the very steep descend I would have had to climb back up after a big breakfast decided not to bother.
Don't know whether
ICR do bike trips but if you are keen Velomaris the bike shop in
Marmaris do various outings providing the bikes, all the gear, guide & sandwiches & drinks included but sorry don't know the price. Maybe other tour operates do the same.
Hope this is of some use, even if you decide not to, good luck if you do.
