Private Boat Hire

Postby baronboys » 28 Jun 2011 12:32

Does anyone has any recommendations for a private boat hire. We normally splash  out and hire a boat for a day just for our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 teenagers). Don't mind if we need to go to Marmaris for this.
Cheers Alison

think it was one called Queen we hired for the day, was excellent, much better than an organised trip. Not sure what we paid as I didn't organise it.

It was from the Marmaris marina area though :D

It was a big boat we hired , there were 16 of us I think, came with driver, food and all inc drinks. But they did take us where ever we wanted to go etc.

You can hire the gulets etc for the day as well , sure icr will have more info for you.

Hi
The last 15 years we did arrange a private boattrip with boat called Tastekin 2. Its stays right behind the Ataturk statue in Marmaris.( small boat - Icmeler taxiboat.)
You can hire the boat for the hole day, Incl. barbecue ( meatballs, chickin, salat, bread, all homemade by the captains mother. It taste wonderfull. Incl is also efes , softdrinks , wates ect...all you can eat and drink....
We normall go by 6-8 persons ( and only us onboard) for about 50 - 60 lire pr. person. But I dont know the prices this year by now. I´ve go there whole of august.
sorr if something is spelled wrong.....
greetings from Denmark

We're just back from Icmeler and we hired a boat for our daughter's 18th birthday, there were 8 of us. The boat was called "Hercules" and it's manned by a husband and wife with their son and daughter, their names escape me for the minute but they are a very friendly family. We hired the same boat last year too.
If you walk right around the marina in Marmaris you will find them moored opposite the Purple Rain Restaurant.
For 310TL they picked us all up from our apartment in the Old Village at 8.30am and took us to the boat in Marmaris. They took us out to several beautiful spots, we could swim or play on the beach or just stay on the boat and sunbathe. They also played music for us to dance to. They provided breakfast and lunch for this price too. The only extra thing you pay for is your drinks, which were charged at the regular resort rate. By the time we got back to Icmeler it was 6pm. We all had an excellent day out and I would recommend them to anyone.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

I will definately look up 'Hercules' and 'Berrak' boats.

Not going to 15th August but can't wait after reading the reports on this forum.
