Thank you for your reply.We are staying at L'etoile, but it seems the beds on their part of the beach are 6TL, and you are not permitted to take drinks from the hotel on to the beach! sO, we are better off going down to Messi on Coco beach, that is what we did last year anyway. Thank you.

just a quickie, if you go on ibro and patricks beach, the price per bed is double what you will pay elsewhere, but they will not tell you that when you go on, only when you leave and then pay.

IN front of Erdem Bar ,no hassle from Murat and 1 minute to get to Erdem for lunch, as it get,s full every lunch time .There evening meals are great and so reasonable, if you get tired of huge meals in the 2 weeks you are there.

Messi is a star really looks after you bringing you drinks eats etc and like someone else says introduces you to other sunbathers. he remembers everyones names and introduces everyone which adds to the nice atmosphere . But do be warned he dosnt miss any snorers

I agree with Kendo, Patrick is ripping people off left right and centre. He is charging double and is quite aggressive with people that "dont want to eat with him". He thinks that you should stay all day on the beach and pay his extortionate prices for food and drink. It happened to two ladies that we know that were too frightened to turn him down and in the end paid the prices. It is disgusting what is going on on some of the beaches in Icmeler. In all the years we have been going, I have never known so much hassle. If its not from one side of the beach its from the cafes on the other. You run the gaunlet every time you get up from a bed and take a stroll. It got so bad that we used to take a detour, albeit a long way round just to be left in peace. I had a lovely holiday and met loads of friends, as usual this year, but it was spoilt by the goings on on the beachfront. I think this should be looked into by the Council. Why should you feel so intimidated. It is surely up to you where you want to eat and drink.

we went to patrick on our first day, totally different man to what he was, and we've known him years, and while we there there many people had words with him when they came to settle up as they were leaving, I heard one couple call it con men corner, we then moved up the beach to osman, be warned.

By the way just to help the people that are on the beach this year and are getting ripped off, we stayed near the Munamar Beach end. There is a COUNCIL sign on the beach that says that if anyone is being charged more than 2.50 per bed, they are to report it and there is a telephone number quite clearly on the poster. Be warned everyone - if there are any problems go to the end of the promenade and look at the sign. Unfortunately we have not seen it anywhere else but on that end of the beach. Lets hope it will be sorted out.

Free beds when using DK and good service from the staff.
I should try and walking a little further and read the sign that angelus mentions.

So out of curiosity how much are they charging per bed? 5tl each?

I was there in May and they were charging the same as previous years...

Last week he was charging 5tl per bed!!! We also have known him for years but this year he is a different person. I think because the beach area is smaller and the cramming of beds, there is a lot more competition and arguments going on between the beach boys. It is very offputting, especially for all those newbies that will be out there this year. The notice I have referred to is quite clear on the bed charging situation. I urge all you to please look at the notice. What they are doing is unlawful.

No problem, the Munamar is before you turn left to go to Deniz Kapisi on the corner where the prom meets the main road

Which part of the beach is this? We normally go by Linekers but not sure what's happening there this year.

I'm not one for the beach either but if I do pop down, I walk all the way to Liberty and use their jetty. They will serve you as well all day. I am lucky enough to be friends with them so I get a freebie but will always get beers from them whilst watching people in the shade when the sun gets too much.

Excuse me but are you saying that the people in front of Kontes Beach are trying to overcharge people? I got lost sumwhere in the thread !! We usually use theese beds, but we like to pay up front and then you dont get so much hassle!! Bit less than 8weeks to go now, roll on 20th Aug

Not the ones directly in front of Kontes they are still run by Omar. Its the beds as you look at the beach to your right, next to the green ones.
