Can anybody remind me the colour of the carton/brand of milk, that is available in the shops. Arrive 1/8/11.
Ithink it was a green?? coloured.

Tansas do their own which is cheaper and just as good. If you like a lot of tea (like us!) or have kiddies it is a bit of saving over a couple of weeks or so. :)

Save me starting new thread,what it the equivalent of full fat milk over there? need it for the wee one

Thanks for reply, i'm staying in Ovacik this year though,so just needed reminding what the full fat milk is called/looks like

thats full fat mılk ın the pıcture,semı-skımmed ıs ın the blue box.You need to look for ıt to say Yarım Yaglı. It does actually say ıt ın englısh ıf you look close enough........

yeah ayran is placed in bottles that look like milk ones
i love ayran but its an acquired taste as i hated it first couple of times i came to turkey
semi skimmed milk is in the green cartons normally found on the shelf and not in the fridge in tansas

I stupidly bought a bottle and put it in my coffee in the apartment, it looked ok to begin with but then started to separate. I thought there was something wrong with the bottled water I'd used or the kettle! I then tasted the "milk" from bottle and almost gagged. I won't be making the same mistake again!
