but I don't suppose there is a rock bar in Icmeler or Marmaris that anyone knows of? Not a necessity but we do like a bit of rock and been to Olu Deniz twice and there was one there (although last year it had changed and wasn't).

Not a daft question at all, sooze - in fact, someone asked a similar one just recently, and I believe there are a couple in Bar Street in Marmaris, but none in Icmeler itself.

I've always looked out for a rock/indie bar in icmeler but never seen one. I heard there is one in marmaris though so will hopefully find it this year!

oh if you haven't been before, i'm sure you will love it! I go back every year. I have never stayed there but have a friend who works in the bar there so walked up there and had a drink in there last year - nice pool side area but can't comment on the rooms!

We have rented a private apartment - looks very nice - can't wait, counting down the days now. Just hope the Ash cloud doesn't room it

None in Icmeler as far as I'm aware but JT put us onto a good bar in Marmaris last year, the Lighthouse. Its where the local bike club meet and whilst its not an out-and-out rock bar the musics good (no boom boom) and theres no dancing waiters.

Any other recommendations in Icmeler for food (we prefer traditional - no chips) and drinks?

At least one of the Rock bars in Bar St was still there last season, as I've seen it on someone's Bar St video on YouTube. Start at the bottom of the hill in the harbour, through the first square, and it was on the left hand side before the main clubs, with a neon "Rock Bar" sign .

If you walk along Bar Street from the Bazaar end, turn left at the end and its only a minute or so of a walk away.

I will look out for that , bikerjambo. We will be in Icmeler on Saturday, and probably hit Marmaris early next week, so if we find anywhere else we will let you all know.
