beach entertainment

Postby jonnyb19782 » 25 May 2011 09:35

Is there any? Is it just for sunbathing or do you get a bit of music from local bars etc.

Any at night time also? Bbq's, fire jugglers, belly dancers or any other light entertainment

Thanks

Flippin eck mate- belly dancers, jugglers etc on the beach? No- they are all in the bars lol!
I, for one wouldn't like to be all glammed up in the evening in my nice frock, stunning high heels and posh handbag to be all sand and windswept! You don't need stuff like that on the beach as there are brilliant bars/restaurants to cater for every need- lively, romantic, secluded, lots entertainment etc and you will be sat in comfort. Most of the hotels/apartments hold their own bbq, usually every week for a small cost and provide great entertainment.
You dont really have music when sunbathing as there are so many bars it would just be a racket and that way it suits all- do what I do and have an MP3. There is plenty going on at the beach though if you like to people watch! Also you usually get chatting to someone and the beach boys and vendors will stop and chat. You will not be bored on the beach.

If you want a belly dancer on the beach I will strut my stuff for you for a couple of Efes he he.

Lol I didnt quite mean as extreme as you made out.
The reason I ask is from a previous holiday in Asia. As the sun went down they had a few fire jugglers and bbq on the beach. It wasn't hectic or a glamour parade, it was just laid back fun and a good chance to get to know other holiday makers/travellers. Was heaven sitting on the beach, chilled out with a drink in hand watching the sunset.

Look forward to you strutting your stuff then instead. When you next in icmeler? Lol

Olu Deniz had the fire jugglers etc on the beach at night - even loads of large soft cushions to crash on and waiter service for your drinks, looked really cool.

I was in Thailand a few months ago and it was absolutely amazing, relaxing on a big beach cushion at night, watching the fire jugglers and seeing them jump through fire hoops (except when a rather large british holiday maker tried to jump through the hoop and was too drunk / big to get through, and landed on it, setting himself on fire!). Then as the evening gets going, a party on the beach :) Great memories.

However you won't get that in Icmeler, all the entertainment is in the bars but still great! Lots of dancing and different shows such as breakdancing etc! A completely different sort of holiday but great none the less. :D
