Hi Icmelerites,
After 6 years at the Julian Forest and more dolmus journeys than I care to remember we are now staying at the Chateau De Ville. We have always used the facilities at Julian Forest for their turkish baths but thats not an option this year.
Can anyone recommend a really good, professional turkish bath fairly near the Chateau De ville? We did go to one years ago up the side street fairly near the waterfall restaurant which had an indoor pool with a glass wall? It was more like a massage parlour with the guys only interested in the young girls which were waiting, hence we got a rush job!
Money is not a problem, good service is essential, anyone help?

Morning Erik
I know you said Icmeler, but the best one that we have found is in Marmaris. It is called the Bazaar, and it is near the free water and the mosque...it also has a parrot outside on the steps. They are not the usual tourist conveyer belt and they take their time whether you are young or old. Erol is absolutely wonderful. There were 5 of us in our party the year before last and we were in there for about three and a half hours. It was heaven

We went to the one in Armutalan, which was fantastic - would definitely recommend it.

Blondie, How did you get from
Icmeler to Armutulan turkish bath? Do they run excursions from Icmeler to it? We went there a few years ago when we were staying in
Marmaris and would love to go again. It was excellant!! Had one in Icmeler 2 years ago, it was okay but not a patch on the Armutalan one.

Hi Anne
If you get the dolmus to Tansas in
Marmaris and then hop on the No 4 Blue Stripe Bus, it says Camiavlu on it then that will take you to the Turkish Baths in Armutalan. Its only 1.50 TL per person as well and the dolmus runs frequently.

Our trip was actually arranged through the
hotel we were staying in at the time, but as others have since posted, it's relatively easy to arrange it yourself. It's definitely worth a visit - it was a fab experience which we all enjoyed, including my two then-teenage children.

Eric,
We have tried a few in Icmeler, all pretty good.
My personel preference is for the
Marti Resort at the opposite end to where you are staying.
The staff who was massaging my wife spotted a back problem she had and eased it
considerably. A bit expensive by comparison, but we thought worth it.

Do you get a choice of whether a man or woman massages you?
Have to say I'd personally prefer a woman massaging me than a bloke!!

I had a private turkish bath last week at the letoille hotel, it was done by a lady and cost about £20.00. i usually go to the one in amutalan as i think its the best, but as i was going on my own this time and staying at l,etoille it made scence to go there.
