Efendi 2011 information please

Postby jennierennie » 15 May 2011 10:21

Really looking forward to being back in Icmeler at the end of June. This will be the first time my daughter and I have stayed at the Efendi and would appreciate some up to date information if you have it. We know the rooms and pool are small but have seen fridges mentioned in a couple of reviews. Can you hire a fridge there? Thanks a lot.

Hi Jennierennie

I'm sure you will love your stay at the effendi , we stayed there sept 2010 and found the hotel really comfortable although as you say a bit on the small size. However with the beach only a stones throw away and so much going on in Icmeler you wont be in it that long. Just think of it as a place to get your head down. Our room was on the first floor in the corner ,we had fantastic views over the bay and the sunrise is to die for.
The maids make a real effort with the towel swans and scattered petals
Have a look at a few pics , (I'm not the best photo taker)

You can also hire fridges from reception at a reasonable cost, the air con is a must as well, well positioned over the bed for those hot nights.
Hope you enjoy your holiday , we are going to Kussadasi this year. :D

Hi Jennierennie,
Would not recommend the fridge hire as the room power is activated by your room key, so when you are out of the room the fridge has no power ours did not get very cold in the two weeks we were their.
Cheaper to go across the road to the supermarket and buy bottles of frozen water and a cool bag.
Think it was £20 per week hire. Air con is free.
Heaven bar and Maestro restaurant below hotel are very good.

Hi Kevdalad again,

If you ask reception nicely they will give you a spare card on the provision you dont leave lights, air con on....
Well they did with us. My mate also found one live socket regardless of the card being in or not, you may need to test around a bit to find it, bot not with wet hands lol ......

Hi Kevdalad

Went to Efendi Aug 2009 and going back again this August, my parents also went Aug 2010 and are going back again, Rooms are smallish but kept very clean, we had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The air conditioning is good when we went in 2009 the temp where hitting 50c and the air conditioning was very welcome. We had our then 7 year old daugher with us and the hotel staff couldnt have been more welcoming with both us and our daughter, she can't wait to go back this year

The hotel is so close to the beach we didn't use the pool much, its quite small but plenty of sun bed space for the size of the hotel.

Hope you have a great time

the fridge was one worry i had about my apartments (didnt stay at affendi) BUT in both our apartments kleopatra and mum and dad in laws Alvaro the fridges were operated on a different circuit and even when we took the key out whilst still in the room and listened for a while the fridge kept on running

In the efendi hotel the fridge is normally installed under the dressing table and the power in that area in my room went off when you removed room key. The only thing that cooled the fridge was the frozen bottles of water I placed in each day, might be ok if you stay in the room a lot but was a waste of money for us.
