Spending money?

Postby jesslbr » 18 May 2011 01:12

I havnt been to icmeler for many years now, and im thinking of booking for two weeks at the end of aug.

Looking at going self catering, and eating out every night.

Can anybody advise the amount of spending money needed for this amount of time? obviously i understand this will be an estimate and depend on person to person.

Also, how much do restaurants charge for like a main meal

Any help, no matter how vague, would be of help.

Thank.

It really does depend on what you eat/drink - if you're a shorts drinker then it's easy to spend quite a lot on an evening in the bars, if you're happy with efes then that keeps it all a bit cheaper. OH and I spent roughly 100TL a day in September last year, we spent whatever was needed, didn't consider the budget much and had a very nice time. He's not a big eater but he did make up for that with his share of the efes bill and keeping him in cigarettes so it about evened out. We were staying near the back of the old village too, so some of that was spent on taxi's.

I reckon £50 each a day will bring you change home, unless you intend on purchasing a lot of handbags!

£50 a day is more than enough :) I would spend about £30-40 depending on drinks after food, then spend any extra left towards the end on bags and jewellery

Agree with previous post I always budget £50 per day for food and drink and take an extra amount for shopping and have always brought money home with me. I'm not really a big drinker but I do like my food ha ha
