Just wanted to take a moment to ask everyone to give a thought to the 96 fans who died 22 years ago today. I wrote this for facebook last night.

Dear 96

I know your lives are lost
For that there must be a cost
Smile down on us from above
This is your day, as rightfully should

Justice will be served
Our prayers will finally be heard
One day the truth will be told
When we'll stand tall, head high and bold
Till that day remember this

Your in our hearts and there you stay
As we salute on this very sad day

R.I.P 96 Lives Lost At Hillsborough 15th April 1989

im studying law and i just used one of the cases of the fans as part of a piece of coursework
it was such a sad time and im sorry for all those that were lost

Loved it, i'm a Nottm Forest fan and was at the same game the previous year, if i hadn't moved away would have been there to witness the tradgedy. It will always be a sad day for me as well as thousands of footy around the world.

I'm a football fan and I think all of us would echo those sentiments. It must have been horrendous for the families to wave their loved ones off to the match as they did week in, week out - only for so many never to return. May they all rest in peace.

A very sad day in British recent history and those poor victims will be remembered forever which will be not much comfort to the families. So tragic.

The 22nd Anniversary was very moving today, as usual a good turn out by the fans RED & BLUE plus Rafa turned up (Ex Manager).

i was playing rugby that day and the word was getting around the touchline,i think all playing were dumbfounded as to what we were being told, AS SOMEONE SAID JUSTICE NEEDS TO BE SERVED ON THOSE RESPONSIBLE,AND THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE ONE SINGLE FAN.my thoughts and that of many others is with your great city today.
