Moonlight Apartments

Postby wiggle » 11 Apr 2011 11:43

Hello All!!!

Me and my family have travelled to Icmeler for the last 2 years and normally stay in the Alvaro however for 1 reason or another this year we can't book until a little later!! The alvaro is very busy again this year and I'm not 100% sure we will get in, I have looked and The Moonlight Apartments are coming up next favorite, I know the are in the village as we went there a few times last year but I wondered if anyone out there has stayed there and had any experiences from it???

Any info would be greatly appreciated xx
Regards
Wiggle :D

We stay at the Moonlight apartments, they are fantastic and the staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. This year will be our 3rd time at them apartments but i know quite a lot of people who have stayed there for quite a lot of years. Its in the old town but not that much of a walk realy into town and there is a small park just outside the apartments if you have small children.

i thought the hotel was run by the mayors daughter, we went last year to the moonlight and going back this year i loved the friendliness of the staff and the pools are lovely one with a slide, they are a good walk to the beach so we didnt go was to hot but nice to go to on a night when its cooled down.

Hi Wiggle,

JT has given you a link to the Majestic apartments, formerly part of the Adler. Moonlight is on the edge of the Old Village in a good location and they have two pools. I had a look around them last year and spoke to several people who used them and they thought that they were very good.

hiya bud,

if you want to have a stress free holiday, and really enjoy your holiday DONT go to moonlights!

we have been 3 times, really enjoyed it first twice, then the bubble burst! last year the staff changed and it went down hill big time!

poor food, stinking attitude of the staff, esp the manageress(mayors daughter) the kids couldnt get a break from their moaning staff, the room had a water pump outside the window n stopped n started every minute thru the night.

we were accused of having an extra couple in the room with us, it was my adult daughter who was staying accross the road!

the manageress wouldnt let my friend pick us up at night from the front of apartments, it was Turan from the florida resturaunt.

oh and if your not into mafia style meetings every time you try to eat or drink its not the place for you! the mayor and his cronnies were there continually! taking up the best tables, demanding service from the staff, so paying punters have to wait!
the kids slide is only on 2 hours a day, and we saw them switch it off with someone on it!
try the efem next door, thats where we are going,

we stayed at the moonlight for a week last june in a 2 bed apartment

the apartment was a very good size, but noise wise at night wasnt good, we were very close to the bar and could hear every conversation until well into the small hours, then at 5 or 6 am it would be pool cleaning.

the sun bed area we felt was too small, but we didnt mind the walk to the centre, and the staff we found to be pleasant, snacks were good, we only had 1 main meal there and didnt think it was up too much.

HI, we are staying at the moonlight in june for 2 weeks and have gone there for a few years now, and really love it, the staff have always been great, friendly and helpful. the apartments are great, very clean. had a few lunches there which was nice. lovely pool. the hospitality and friendliness of the staff is what makes us want to keep going back there. But we are all different and have different views. I read on here that a lot of people like the dursun, we stayed there once and thought it was an awful place, dirty apartment, unpleasant staff, so I would say try it and make your own mind up.

Hi Wiggle,
We're staying at the Moonlight Apartments in July again this year having stayed there the previous two years. They make an excellent base, only 15 minutes from the beach but with many watering holes on the way there it can take a while longer to ge there. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and found them to be very clean with ample space. Air conditioning is included in the price which is a big bonus.
