For me I always go to one of Sabris BBQs at the Sad B*st*rds Bar attached to the Mete Apartments. The food is amazing, the company fantastic and the entertainment excellent. Always end up making new friends here every year :P

The Kactus Bar is also a great place to have a nice quiet drink, they do gthe best cappachino in Icmeler lol

I went to the Sad Bas~~~~~~ this year for the first time, didn't do the bbq though but certainly will next year. I went there on my own the first time for a crafty beer or two, and a customer served me and said just settle up when the gaffer gets back, amazing. It is a lovely place to sit and chill in the boiling hot heat of August, so peaceful down there, and just down the road from where we stay.

If the weather forecast is not looking good head down to the water parks, if it rains you are wet anyway and people tend to stay away so there are no queues

If you are doing a jeep safari (Highly recommended and the best day out) don't book for a Sunday, the waterfall and beach stops are packed, very little chance of a swim in the waterfall or getting a sunbed at the beach for an hour.

Was there 12th - 26th August. It was a bloke who served me, he had a Manc accent, saw him with his missus the second time I went in, he started up a conversation with me right away, a really friendly place, highly recomended to chill out in.
