Lizzie

I must apologise ... I asked you if that was your 1st visit to Icmeler ... duh??? After reading your post I've just realised that you actually said you've been there 6 times!!! You must be mad keen on the place!!!! Is it the beef stroganoff or some other tasty tidbit pulls you back!!! A friend of mine actually thinks that they put soemthing in our drinks to keep oulling us all back to Icmeler!!!! I'm beginning to think that might just be true as my freind and me just can't seem to get enough of the place!!!

How many sleeps now Lizzie??

Maybe we'll meet upat the Waterfall ... stranger things have happened!!!!

Take care.

See you september!!!

Hiya,

I love Oscars bar, last year me and my family drank there every night of all 4 of our visits to Icmeler as we were good friends with most of the staff and it is were i got together with my boyfriend so its even more special for me. Even though this year, alot of the staff have moved on to different places, we still went to see Josh, Bulent, Mehmet, Ahmet and Murat (Eddie) when we were in Icmeler at the end of June and we will be going back in 7 weeks (8th September) to see them all again.

Looking forward to seeing them all.

Take care xxx

Hiya

You were in Icmeler 4 times last year????? Wow ... lucky lucky you!!!! You must be just leaving this time as we arrive ... again!!!!

I've known Josh for ages ... and Mehmet & Metin. But as you say quite a lot of the staff have changed this year!!! But it's still fab!!! Did your boyfriend work in Oscar's or does he still work there?

You'll be there before us ... you lucky thing ... 9 weeks tomorrow until we get back!!!

Take care & have fun.

Hiya Shauna,

Yeah last year i managed to squeeze an extra week in, this year i will have been 3 times.

Josh, Mehmet and Metin are all lovely and friendly, i only met these 3 last year but it feels like i've known them a lot longer. I knew alot of the other staff from a OB's. How long have you known them all?

My boyfriend worked in Oscars last year but this year he decided to try something different.

Its a shame we will miss eachother because im sure we would have bumped into eachother at some point if we would have been there the same time.

Hope you enjoy your holiday, im sure you will, who can't enjoy themselves in Oscars bar.

7 weeks today and i will be there, cant wait :D

Take care xxx

Dave,
Do you mean it's opposite the downstairs market somewhere near the Pop Inn as I've never heard of the Heat & Breeze? Sorry to be a pest but I've told you, I am very unobservant, I walk around with my eyes closed, I'd never have made a policewoman :?

Hi Skilly

Oscar's Fun Bar & the Waterfall Reastaurant are 2 bars up from Wonderboys!!! It is beside "Amigos" and across the road from the "Heat & Breeze" which has been taken over by Lee who used to work in "Venice"!!! Oscars is at the front & the Waterfall Reataurant is just on through there ... when you go ... one of the lads will guide you down ... & then you'll be running back for more!!! The Oscars that Dodgy Dave was talking about is a totally different one ... it used to be the "Pop Inn" but has been taken over by Oscar who used to be a partner in the Waterfall & Oscar's ... his restaurant is just by the Dolmus stop!!! But definitely gove the Waterfall & Oscar's Fun Pub a go!!! Have a fab holiday & you can pm or e-mail me if you'd like any more info!!!

Hi Simon

Sorry you didn't get to Waterfall ... but did you have a great holiday???? What about the Efes??? Do you feel the urge to book for next year yet??? I know that the minute we come home in October ... that we will book straight away again!!! Though we have to be careful with out holidays as we head off to Cuba in April!!!! Good job my friend has a job in a travel company ... she can keep an eye on all the good deals for us!!!

Glad that your friends enjoyed the Waterfall ... they were right about the food ... it is excellent!!! You'll have to put that at the top of your "To Do" list for next year!!!

Look forward to hearing all about your holiday escapades though ... I believe there could be a few!!!!

Have a good sleep ... hear from you soon!!!! :D

Hi all I just got back from Icmeler yesterday evening, we went to the Waterfall last year and it was excellent so we returned this year. We had a big shock we waited 1 hour 30 mins before we even got garlic bread, then my husband had a mixed grill and withing 10 mins of eating it he was being sick in the toilet, also the table next to us sent 8 meals back because the meat was raw. We were really disappointed as we had, had a lovely meal there last year. Has anyone else had a bad meal there? :(

Hi Clare like you we ate at the waterfall last year and had some lovely meals so we returned this year, surroundings beautiful as usual staff nice and friendly, but we waited nearly an hour for our meal,it was busy that night though and the staff were running round like headless chickens, the food was nice though we had no complaints.

Hi Clare

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at the Waterfall ... it is unusual to be sick that quick though from a meal ... hope your hubby has recovered though and is back on top form again!!!! Nothing worse than being ill while you're on holiday!!!!

I must be honest ... I've never had a bad meal in the Waterfall ... never really had a bad meal in Icmeler at all!!!! Though ... we always say that we're going to try different places when we're there ... but cos we know the people now and their menus ... we always go back to the same places!!! Maybe in September we'll experiment more with our cuisine!!! However, I do believe that when it all comes down to it ... you'll find us in the Waterfall and Oscars!!!!

wow i'm shocked to here bad reports about the restaurant, although i dont doubt that the comments made are true.

but just one or two little points...

if i'm not mistaken the garlic bread is given complimentary anyway and they have a chef that speciallly trained in cooking meat to each customers requirements.

the waiting time though is a problem that they are trying to tackle as it is a very busy restaurant.

maybe i'm biast as i am a huge fan of the waterfall :D and have been going there for many years.

Quite frankly I'd risk waiting and vomiting for their seafood tagliatelle! It's the best I have ever tasted!!! :-)
