The tin I had was a large one so you might be pleasantly surprised if its a smaller one.

When are you opening yours?

Thats the same size as the one I have started today.
The one I just opened was from Thorntons shop and it cost £2, it was about 2 inches taller than the £1 shop ones and a bit wider too.

We'll be opening our tins around the end of May to give me time to get to the bank. Have a large tin which we put 50p and 20p pieces in and a smaller tin for £1 coins, can't wait to find out how much is in it, half the fun is counting it.

And yes Jacqui we also go to Tony's, its the best in town, but not tonight its Happy Valley for a curry. Will be in touch. x

We normally save all our coppers all year round and take them to machines at asda few days before we go and usually have around £60 to £70 to spend at airport.

My tin has somehow been forgotten over recent months, but I had a shake of it today and it's still got a bit of weight to it, so should pay for a good few nights out at least!
Darn me and my inability to save!

We saved 120 for our June holiday which we used to pay for aircon & safe, and airport money. Trying to see how much can save for September now.
