Mary we are still quite away from filling it so we definately haven't got as much as you but we still have a good few weeks to keep putting those £2 in

15 May 2009 14:15

The tin I had was a large one so you might be pleasantly surprised if its a smaller one.

When are you opening yours?

15 May 2009 14:16

Bought ours out the pound shop it kind of loos mediumish :?

15 May 2009 14:16

OOOOPS looks not loos

15 May 2009 14:18

Thats the same size as the one I have started today.
The one I just opened was from Thorntons shop and it cost £2, it was about 2 inches taller than the £1 shop ones and a bit wider too.

We'll be opening our tins around the end of May to give me time to get to the bank. Have a large tin which we put 50p and 20p pieces in and a smaller tin for £1 coins, can't wait to find out how much is in it, half the fun is counting it.

And yes Jacqui we also go to Tony's, its the best in town, but not tonight its Happy Valley for a curry. Will be in touch. x

15 May 2009 16:48

 we have a large whisky bottle we fill with 20p and 50p we will empty it end of may its the best way to save like you dotty spend at the airport as this is our first night flight we will get their early buy stuff from duty free have a meal then of to the bar

15 May 2009 18:24

We normally save all our coppers all year round and take them to machines at asda few days before we go and usually have around £60 to £70 to spend at airport.
