Hi Juijui wev'e stayed there many times but this year we are staying at another hotel as the Private has gone down hill over the years mainly because of the pool being run a franchise by named of Thomas. People were being ripped off the pool was not kept clean. I do not have a complaint about the hotel it's self only that it seems to be very basic the bedding & towles are changed regular. The breckfast is not a lot to be desired continental with not a great deal of choice. Also there is a lot of noise from the Irish bar which is accross from the hotel which goes on into the early hours of the morning regardless of the music being turned down at midnight so if you do not want this ask for a room at the back . Who knows things might have changed this year due to some complaints being put to T..... C.... Sorry if i have put the dampeners on your holiday but i think people should know the truth also try looking on the website for holiday truths. On the happier side of yor holiday Icmeler is a lovley place as we go back year after year the people are frendly & helpfull & im sure you will still enjoy your holiday after all the hotel is only a base to sleep & as long as it is clean that is the main. Would be helpfull if you put a review after you have been so other people will know what the hotel was like in your eyes.

Thanks for the honesty lynnep. This will be our fifth visit to Icmeler but we haven't been for four years so I am sure I will enjoy being back. We booked the hotel as we are on a tight budge this year and because we have not been able to afford a holiday abroad for the past three years so it seemed like good value for money. Oh well if the bed is clean I will be fine and I am sure I will sleep OK after a few vodka and tonics, just a bit worried as we have an 11 year old. Maybe I shouldnt have asked now.

I've stayed at the Private a number of times. Yes, the Irish Bar is noisy, but you can't hear it from the other side so do ask for one of those rooms if you can, it does turn down at midnight but you can still hear it. The rooms are very basic, but they are very basic in an awful lot of places, it's just the Turkish way, they are cleaned well and often, and I've found nothing is too much trouble for the hotel staff. The lifts are a bit wonky, the stair carpets could do with replacing - but that's the same all over!

The pool is great, generally a good atmosphere and lots to do. My advice - say a firm no to the Turkish night, say a firm no to eating in the pool bar on a night (you can still do both if you want to, but they will leave you alone with a firm no) and don't have a tab at the bar cause it's quite likely you'll not get charged right. In most instances I think this is an honest mistake, I've been undercharged by a long way a couple of times cause I keep my own tab too - it just gets a bit chaotic when the hotel is quite full. There is a certain reputation to the Private pool, but don't let it spoil things for you, go with the flow and look after your own interests and you'll have a ball :)

Hi Juejue again im sure your 11 year old will love it as kids do with no problems as noodles the above reply says do not keep a tab at the bar make sure the prices are added up right & check your change. As i said the hotel is fine & clean with lovely staff who have at the end of our stay left a small gift for us & decorated our bed with petals & made our towels into hearts & swans.Icmeler has changed a lot in 4 years all for the better. We have made many friends over the years. Dont worry & enjoy yourself that what hollidays are about. Any problems at the pool area just tell the rep or hotel manager. or just keep away as there is a nice beach not far away.

We stayed there for a week last year at end of May, I agree with a lot of the above. We had a room at the back so weren't disturbed by the Irish bar. The hotel is in a great central location, there was a bit a trouble with the lift when we were there, the staff were all friendly and helpful and we found the pool really nice it has the sun all day and I didn't think it was unclean. Breakfast is basic but edible.
The rooms were clean and tidy the only thing that could be changed is the vent between bathrooms because you can hear clearly the people next door in their bathroom but I don't know if that applied to all rooms.
Needless to say we love Icmeler and are going back to the Private in June! Six weeks today we'll be at the airport! :D
