Normal Temps?

Postby AnnieT » 18 Aug 2009 22:26

Is it hotter than usual for this time of year in Icmeler? we are there in 2 weeks with our 4 year old grandaughter and I'm worrying it may be a bit hot for her!

Normal temperatures here in Icmeler 43-48 yesterday.

Evenings are now starting to cool down and even getting a cooling breeze.

Children cope with it a lot better than we do! We went out in July and saw the temperature hit 50 degrees, we went with some friends that had a child of 14 months! She coped better than we did! She spent all day in the pool and at night dancing away! Just apply lots of sun cream and keep them hydrated! :D :D :D :D Have a fab time!

We were there in July, and it was pretty warm, in fact some locals said it felt hot for them too (You don't I guess get used to it and not notice it, you get used to it and tolerate it knowing it's just for the hottest weeks of the year).

To put it all in perspective though, it isn't solidly beating down morning to night, it's cooler in the morning, then it rises, then it falls - obvious really. My point is, if you want to avoid the hottest parts, you can have a snooze in the aircon. Even then, it doesn't really feel as hot as the temp guages suggest.

Sure you'll be absolutely fine and have a brill time :D
