Romance Restaurant

Postby Tiberius » 13 Apr 2012 15:25

Hi All,

I was just wondering if somebody could let me know what it's like in the Romance Restaurant?

We passed it a number of times on our visit last September and were always handed a leaflet by lovely little old fella..... We said each time we'd go in and try it out just for his sake as he was so sincere and nice but never got around to it.

Always looked busy but just wondered what peoples thoughts were ;)

Was in the romance last year & like yourself was approached by that little old man in passing one day so ordered the lamb for the following day,all i can say is that we were not dissapointed it was absolutely spot on,the entertainment was the same as you get all over icmeler but the staff all join in so its a good night.

Good food in large portions from varied menu as I recall, no complaints. Entertainment varied every night from 'clap' male belly dancer (very camp), magician, robots, 2 impressive gymnastic guys, staff performing lively dance routines encouraging customers to get up & join in, as well as others, music can be quite loud. Certainly worth stopping for a look if nothing else but would recommend going in at least once but again depends on what you're looking for.

I have always meant to try the Romance restaurant but have read a few folks complain about being ripped off with extra drinks etc being added to the bill. There are however many others who do rate this restaurant. Maybe this year I will give it a go

we always go to the romance at least once the fajitas are really nice, and as for being ripped off iv'e had that happen in ma few resturaunts not sure if it is delibrate but it soon gets changed when it is queried, i think it is a genuine mistake, it seems to happen in the restaurants that use those little computer things

Have to say that they got our bill wrong when we called in one lunchtime BUT, they'd UNDERCHARGED us. And yes, we did the right thing and pointed it out  :D
