Could anyone tell me is there a way of cancelling in block all the unread flags that appear against the Topics that come up on this Forum or is the only way to do it is by going into each separate message as I do now.

Usually at the top right hand side of each section of the forum (such as this - general holiday tips and advice) you will find a line which says - mark topics read. That should do the trick.
