This is where Turkey will win hands down, your're talking nearly 4 and half quid for chips and mushy peas per person, thats more expensive than here.

at the end of the day so what if prices are on the up a little, you budget for your holiday and spend what you budget for and in all fairness i would rather spend 30 quid on a decent meal in turkey which the majority are, than 30 quid on a mediocre meal in spain, went to benidorm last year, loved the nightlife and atmosphere not as keen on the food and service!!!nefis is incredible value for money 2 chicken shish,1 adana, ayran ,2 cokes, 3 turkish teas 25 lire and may i be so bold as to add the quality of the chicken was far superior to some of the stuff used in the tourist eateries.i visit icmeler quite often as i have extended family there so sadly the days of me living the tourist high life are over,i simply cant afford to eat out every night but i must say that even a badmeal in icmeler beats anything we had in beni

Does that mean you can give the free one to your wife or do you have to buy 2 bogofs ?

Free to the wife Yats.... :D

Or if you are my wife ask for 2 and you will get 4 :?..And then say to the waiter I only asked for 2 :?

Last year my other half asked for 2 margarittas and 2 sex on the beach. Her face was a picture when they brought over 4 margs and 4 sob   ... my wife then blamed ME for not reminding her it was 2 for 1  .... you just cant win sometimes :(

We came back early Friday morning after 2 weeks. The best rate we got was 2.26 and the worst 2.15. Most days it was 2.22. We found the best rates at restaraunts where you were eating.

How was it at the airport when you cant take drinks through whichever check point at the departure gate.
i.e. if you buy a bottle of water to drink at the gate or on the plane. I always get a very dry sensation on the plane so interesting to know.
