Hello

We have just returned from our 18th of Icmeler and what can I say ? Well its seems to be more difficult to leave Icmeler the longer you go!
This year we stayed for the first time at Faber apart hotel its absolutely fabulous !
Brand new apartments good beds , nice kitchen with microwave ( like if we ever cook on our holiday  ), good bathroom with a fantastic shower and always hot water.
Outside a wonderful pool with fountains and a whirlpool, nice poolbar and small restaurant with really good food.
The staff was great and allways helpful and we had great times with them we sure will be going back to Faber again !
In the evenings we spend some nights at the venice great as ever especcially for the kids and mum ofcourse
Had some really lovely meals at Wayside restaurant by Hamdi and Özkan , nice and relaxt athmosphere and very good and tastful food .
Ofcourse we went to Maestro near the beach our old time favourite , nice staff, good turkisch food and very friendly staff.
So many other restaurants we visit like the chef allways very good and nice to see Elvis is still alive, the loveboat love the steaks and pasta there, Deja Vu where we were suprised to find Faruk the brother of the Venice men Murat and Firat, and he is doing really well there nice food and graet entertainment.

We spend some days on a small boat called Berrak, only with our family and it was really nice to relax in that way.
The captain of the boat is a really friendly man and he showed us some beautiful spots and gave us the best bbq ever !

Rented a jeep and went to the famous hotspots like Turunc, 'Kumlubük, Turgut waterfall and Orhaniye and did some sight seeing of our own.

Been on the beach several times in front of Joy munamar with the three wonderful brothers Ilhan, Levent and Bülent and their mother from the brothers watersports, the children and dad did the ringos, bananas and mum could sit in the boat.

The evenings always ended at the bar by Faber apart with lots of Efes and Bloody Marys , some nights to remember !!!

Already starting the countdown for next year, but we had again a really fantastic holidayin Icmeler again with lots of new memories to look back on. Icmeler we love you !!!

Really nice report Moon. I cant wait to go-I know you will hate me for saying but go in less than a week! Then back for just under two weeks and then going again for two weeks! I cant wait. We are staying at the Efes Inn which is next door to the Joy Munamar so we will deffo be spending plenty of time on the beach there. Countdown to next year starting now for you then! :D :D

Excellant report Moon.
Liked your idea of hiring the jeep to get round the sites, also your not subject to all the water fights by picking your own destinations.
We keep threatening to hire a jeep, but I think I lack the courage.

Enjoyed the reports on the restaurents you visited, and that boat trips sounds ideal.
When we are over in two week I will see John about trying to get on Chelsea Boys boat trip as I know that doesnt hold many people and we will be covering a different area to normal.

Thanks again for an interesting read.

hello again !

For redrhino and colette yes we did like the jeep ride very much. We started a little bit later in the day than the jeepsafaris so we didn't see them at all only a few near turgut waterfall, and so we could avoid the waterfights luckely. The driving went really well at first I was a little bit scared to go up the mountain roads but it really went well , I must admitt I didn't get behind the stirring wheel my husband did but it was a really nice excperience !
You should try this once sure you will have fun and you will see very nice things !
