I was told that by one of our customers in resort today that they were stopped by someone near price list and asked would they like to book a table.
She said you have to order in the daytime so they can prepare it for you but they passed in the night and saw 2 people eating but none of the tables were made up to sit at and there was no sign of kitchen or chef so please read back into this topic

Sounds dodgy, perhaps they should rename it the 'Microwave Massala'

I've been told by someone who's working there that it's just had a name change but is the same chef as Taj Mahal

Chef?

That cant be good, the 'chef' had the job of reheating stuff!!!

Maybe chef wasn't the right word - how about 'the bloke who knows how to work the microwave'?

Thats better, so this place is like a takeaway and a restaurant all in one

I only ate there once last year and have to say it was the worst indian meal I've ever eaten so won't be going back this year no matter what they're calling it now!

I've read all that's been said about the Taj Mahal recently, but if it's open we will definitely go there for a meal. We have been going there for ten years and never had a bad meal, unlike some other places I could mention.

I agree with mollymalone, been to Taj Mahal several times and never had a bad meal. In fact the only place I have had a bad meal was in the Love Boat.
If you knew the full ins and outs of most of the restaurants you eat in you probably wouldn't go back. The dirtiest kitchen I ever saw was in a famous chain of fast food outlets in England (not Knowing For Certain any names if you get my drift.)

Well thats 2 customers for them, i personally dont like food produced in one place, reheated in one, then reheated again in another...but if its your bag then enjoy!

Of course i do, you dont get 20 stone from living in River Cottage
Except i KNOW its takeaway, not fobbed off as 'freshley cooked by our chef'
So are you saying you would be happy to go to your local restaurant and for them to bring in a takeaway from down the road, stick it on a plate and charge you double?!

Why Is it so hard for some folk to believe that people dont like re-heated food.??????

Thats taking it to extremes.
My point is that you don't know what you're getting a lot of the time, my experiences of the Taj have always been good. I'm not saying what they did was right but it had lots of people fooled.
After reading the posts in the thread I would reconsider using that place but thats not withstanding the fact that the meals I had there were spot on.
