Volcano Eruption

Postby Dannii_89 » 20 Apr 2010 15:53

Just got me thinking with all this business with the volcano. I am due to fly out in july and have booked my accomodation with ICR and flight with jet2, if this volcano were to erupt again (as they say it might) and i cannot fly, would i get all my money back?? or everything bar the deposit??

read through all terms and conditions and it explains what will happen if you cancel the holiday but if something is out of your hands, what happens?? :?

IF, it comes down to flights being cancelled and holiday makers not able to come out for their holidays. There will be options available from a full/partial refund to a partial credit for a future holiday depending on what we are faced with. Also, the stance the hotels will take under these circumstances is very important since the majority of them are usually paid before hand to guarantee the rooms.

Our official reply to your question is:
We will take each case scenario individually and come to some sort of arrangement with our customers and do our best to make sure that the monies paid so far (deposit or balance) are recoverable in some form.

Important: Please bear in mind that when us at ICR make decisions from selling a holiday to making a refund, or changing your booking to elsewhere or when transferring you to the resort...in all parts of our organization, always, the first thing on our mind is; how hard earned the money is that you have paid for your holidays and that we are a company selling a dream therefore when such unwanted events occur, we shall have the same thoughts in our mind.

Our terms and conditions may say that you lose your deposit however, we have so many cases where we refunded the deposits as well.

These procedures with us may go by the books to cover us from possible harm but we usually act on things based on our hearts as well so we are not your normal company to say the least.

We will be here as always and will deal with these issues as and if they arise, on one-on-one basis as we always have.

well said Rami that is one of the reasons I booked with ICR "THE PERSONAL TOUCH" after speaking to Donna in resort and with John when booking online I had no problems. even when globespan went down the tubes rearranging my accomodation dates and transfers were not a problem. saying that I hope the skys are clear for May 22nd And hoping this does not disrupt too many Icmeler lovers

What a fantastic reply Rami !

Glad found ICR for my first visit to Icmeler last year, popped into the office with a small query and Donna was great.

Booked again for May, and looking to sort another 2 weeks in Sept while we are there.

Wouldnt dream of booking with anyone else.

Indeed, it's service like that which keeps us coming back to ICR again and again too. You know exactly who you're dealing with and that, if anything does go wrong, there is someone on hand to help get it all sorted out for you.

Thanks for a really helpful reply Rami. ICR really is a special travel company - it's the personal touch and real care for customers that makes all the difference. Hope you all have a brilliant season - see you in May.

Good question Dannii esp for whose who haven't booked with ICR, read the small print and check with your insurers etc.

I am told by someone who lives up that way that the volcano usually just puffs hot smoke out of it, so this was a real eye opener for everyone.

I am sure the experts will be watching her closely over the coming months.
