Maybe we should start a topic about the food that is not liked. It would be a short list i'm sure. Would someone put Ayran i wonder???

the turkish people love it well most of them do
and if you go for a kebab with a turkish person they always say ayran is nice you should try it

I agree Sue - both my daughter and I reckon we'd be slim and healthy if we lived in Turkey and ate Turkish food all the time!

I too love Ayran, but i knew it was a taste that not all people would like.

When i walk along the prom to Marmaris and get to the first built up area....the rough concrete bit....that's where and when i particularly like a cooling and refreshing Ayran.My misses thinks i'm mad,she can't stand it.

My favourite Sac Kavurna is with chicken, you can have it with any meat, its lovely.

Ayran - i remember my first and last taste of watery yoghurt with garlic salt in...vile.

Anything at all at Kerem. Lala and her husband are the perfect hosts. The meze is wonderful and authentic. Not a bit of Russian salad in sight. May be a little more expensive than other places but well worth a treat now and again. Please try it.

My husband bought it at the supermarket thinking it was milk. He then served it up in my tea!!!!!!

I'd second that - not the cheapest, but worth it for a treat. They are a lovely couple - and the ambience of the place itself is gorgeous. You have to leave room for Layla's cheesecake, which is to die for!
