hi there the last few years we have been going to icmeler in august and the exchange rate in turkey was just over 2 lira to the pound, so now i change all my money in the uk before we go, we are going for 3 weeks so basically if u change 2000 pounds in turkey in august u will get about 4100 lira and in the uk u will get about 4600 which is about
an extra 220.00 pounds.we have been going to icmeler the last 10 years usually in september when the rate is usually better in turkey but now we go in august always get our money before we go.

we were getting 2.25 - 2.35 in Turkey in August last year - weve always found the rate in icmeler was a hell of a lot better than anywhere in the UK

if going in august we always get our money changed in the uk at about january we got 2.42 to the pound there is no way u will get this in resort in august, 2 years ago anywhere in august u were lucky to get 2.10 it dosent seem alot but it is if u spend alot like me on the efes

2 years ago we were getting 2.45 in resort - but I do agree with you that 2.42 in UK is a good price.
