Another airline in administration

Bad news - Flyglobespan went into administration today. We were thinking of booking up for next year with them too - used them a few times. Bad news for us Scots especially - there aren't that many flights to Turkey as it is.

So sad that another airline has gone down the tubes. Soon there wont be any left and we will all be left paying a fortune or not being able to afford to go on Holiday.
There seems to be so many going bust, and no new ones to replace them. The government should do something they seem to bale everyone else out that don't deserve it, yet the one thing that brits really want and need is a good holiday at a reasonable price they don't care. And the main reason why airlines are going bust or what started the slippery slope for alot of them was the Fuel prices, which are taxed so heavilly they government could of helped them out and cut abit of tax off for them, but no they need to keep there MP's in second homes, and let them clame every little thing they can squeeze out of the honest hard working tax payer.

Typical I had booked a outward flight in may now I will have to extend my holiday by a couple of extra days(every cloud has a silver lining) hope icr can extend the hotel booking

We feel for all who are effected with globespan,
We hope you get things sorted out in time for your visit to Icmeler.

Globespan where based at my local airport ( edinburgh ) and mainly done flights to spain , portugal, florida and many new eastern european city's, They have only started using Turkey within the last 9 month ( I think ) .Even so, many people will have money paid for next year.
This is no joke... but GLOBESPAN got many Scottish award for this+ that +and the other for last year from the Goverment...the best airline in Edinburgh, since the building of the Edinburgh airport they said..... This will prove that Edinburgh is on the map they said!!!, and Globespan got award after pointless award..And this happens.
It means nothing to thoose who are effected.. Yet this is true.

used them to fly to dalaman this year from aberdeen and they were a really good airline

Me too, so glad i waited!

We used them this year and they were fine, no delays!

We had thought about using them for next Sept. but thought they were a bit pricey at about £800 so held off!
Just booked a one way flight with Easyjet from Manchester for £190 for the 3 of us. Just hope when the Oct. flights come they're just as cheap! ie.£190x2 plus £100 for petrol and parking=£480. RESULT!

yeah i was going to book my flight for this year with them so glad i didnt otherwise i would of lost money as well
going to have a look for other ones though and try and find a bargain
