I am going to Icemeler for 3 weeks and self catering and the only thing i dont like about icemeler is their bacon,so i would liketo take about 5lbs of bacon could anyone give me tips how to take it and the best way to keep it near to frozen throughout the journey????!!!!!!

Cook it and give it to me :lol:

I was told to wrap it in tinfoil and bury it in my suitcase.

Hi Kazza

I took several pack of bacon, the vacuum packed type, put them in a cool bag with some of those frozen blocks and had them in my suitcase. I didnt freeze them, I just made sure the expiry date was far enough in the future! They kept perfectly, right up till the end of my holiday.

collette, i have a small george forman grill (a spare) i am going to take it with me and leave it for the next person.It will be nice to sit on the balcony and have a nice bacon buttie or breakfast in the mornings because normally we all go out for breakfast.

I know an Icmeler regular who has a toaster, hairdryer to name but two items that she keeps with one of the jewellers until her next return!! Worth thinking about.
