The first time we flew from glasgow which departed on time and arrived in dalaman on time as well. The 2nd time i flew direct from Aberdeen which again departed on time and was a much better flight than the first time due to a different airline which i wont mention.
Arrived in dalaman and proceeded quickly through visa and passport control and down to get our luggage in no time at all. Even got a smile and spoken to by the guy at passport control when i came myself the 2nd time which was nice for a change. The first time we arranged a private transfer with the apartments we stay at as we book it all through them and they are always very good at meeting us at dalaman. The 2nd time i used ICR which were also very professional and would recommend them to anyone.
Arrived in icmeler both times in around 90 minutes which was good and glad to see that some of the roads have been improved. The place we usually stay is in the old village at the end of the forest but i wont mention the name as they are not ICR. The apartments were lovely and spotless as usual and cant fault anything to do with them. The staff are also amazing as they would do anything for you and its like coming home as we know the managers really well now as that is our 5th time staying there. The 2nd time i stayed at the Eda Hotel with my boyfriend. It was nice but basic but very clean. The room was small but good for only a 2 star couldnt really complain.
My boyfriend works in the loveboat so i ate there most nights when i was there myself as i was waiting for him to finish work but when i was there with my family we ate at the loveboat, Wayside, Chef and other places. Everyone in those 3 restaurants are such good friends of ours and it was really good to see them all again.
Weather was very hot in july and still lovely in august but not as hot as it was in july with it reaching the high 40's most days. Exchange rate stayed at 2.4 in the supermarket underneath ICR for both times that we were there which wasnt too bad.
Went to pleasure and eastenders a lot with my boyfriend both times which was good and had an amazing time spending time with him.
All in all icmeler is still as amazing as ever and would never change it for anything. Would recommend anyone who has never been before especially to the loveboat and wayside as all the staff there are lovely and the food is amazing in both places.
Unfortunately i had to come home so got picked up by the transfer bus when i was with my parents but my boyfriend and one of his colleagues took me back to the airport when i was there myself. I said a very tearful goodbye to him and got on the plane back to aberdeen with no delays and landed 30 minutes early which was good.
Cant stop thinking about icmeler and wish i was back there every moment. Unfortunately i have to wait another year before i return but hopefully going back for 3 months next year. The good news is my family and i are going to alanya in october for 10 days so hopefully my boyfriend will come down there to see me and i will get to spend some time with him.
Hope i havent bored you all too much with my review. I would just like to say to all those young girls out there if the turkish boys are hassling you tell them you have a turkish boyfriend and they will soon back off. Trust me it works
I still think icmeler is one of the best places in the world and will be going back many times for a long time i hope.
