What is the exchange rate that is on offer in Icmeler today . Sterling has had a decent week so it should be slightly up.

post office 2.36, tesco 2.37 so should be on the up in resort too

The rate seems to be back on the up again, bank rate this morning was 2.47 it was only 2.43 on friday. Think the bank rate may go up to 2.50 before the week is out.

Hi,

I know that this has been asked loads of time but we are off to Icmeler on Friday for our 2nd year running (can't wait.)

I have just bought 250 ytl at our local travel agent at a rate of 2.38. Last year we found a little supermarket near our hotel that gave us a reasonable rate.

A year on and obviously with the current climate, money is a wee bit tighter.

So the questiona are:

a. does anybody have a rough Idea of what rates you can get in Turkey?

b. Where are the best places to get the best rates in Icmeler?

It's not the be all and end all cos were gonna have a cracking holiday anyway regardless, but it would be nice to have that little bit extra and a sense of satisfaction knowing I got the best rate I could.

The best place we found is the wee supermarket right under the ICR office.

would it be right then left over the main road and stright down towards the beach?.

Yes, heading towards the beach, you'll come to the square where all the ATM machines are. The ICR office is on the right hand side at the bottom of the square (beach end, if that makes sense) - the wee supermarket is underneath it.

He is very nice man, and he dose always have the best rate. He was offering 2.6 when I left on Friday. Not sue if it's gone up or down since. I've stopped looking sinc I came back yesterday.

i am here now and the rate is 2.40,yesterday was 2.37 and a few days ago it was 2.45 so it is fluctuating all the time,hope this helps anyone who is planning to come to icmeler.
