The Balcony

How many of you love to sit on the balcony when you come back from an evenings drinking and dancing and people watch?

Andre and myselfe love to sit and watch the antics of other people.
When we get in at maybe1-2 am Ann goes straight to bed but I make a coffee and Andre has a glass of milk,I maybe have cheese on toast and Andre has some biscuits and chocolate, we go onto that balcony and stop for at least an hour and one morning we were still there at 4 am.
When in this drunken stupor sometimrs I think to myselfe, "Have I Got Work In The Morning" then I can burst out laughing and think stuff it I will have a lay in.

That why we always like the apartments in the centre, when we come off the beach, we shower, apply aftersun, and drink coffee, on the balcony, There is always something happening.
This year we again stopped in the centre.
Everything we want in a holiday was here, large pool, plenty of sunbeds and in the middle of the action.
Not for us waking up in the village with the smell of newly baked bread, cockerels making a din and wasps stinging your bums, give us the mozzie man,and the dustbin lorry now that is music to my ears.

The Balcony

Hi Gene
I totally agree the balcony is the best place to do your nosy. We had a corner balcony at the Bella Mare one year and it was fab seeing people falling out the clubs and pubs.
Even just after a day at the pool after your shower having a wee glass of something watching the world go by. The best bit is most of the time you can see them but they can't see you  x

I also like to put my make up on , on the balcony, depending on how late it is, as the light is always better, lets hope no one else has a pair of binoculars trained on me as I pull some gruesome faces putting mascara on !!

At the end of every evening, no matter what time we arrive back, we always have a drink on the balcony and a game of cards. This is a family ritual my boys wont let us get away with no matter how tired we feel. Last year an empty bottle of Effes got knoked off the table and bounced several times before smashing. Within 30 seconds the barman from downstairs was waiting at the door with his dustpan and brush to clear it away. Now thats what you call service, you don't get that in Spain. Di. :)

the bar on our balcony opens at 7-30 pm sharp, small to medium brandy a quick hand of cards, then out for the evening, a walk and a meal, guess what, the bar is still open on our return, holiday heaven. kendo

Balcony

Postby kelebek1966 » 29 Jun 2006 09:35

My kids used to sleep on the balcony when we stayed at Club Aquarium during August in previous years because it was cooler and they didn't like the aircon. They just made up little beds on their lilos with towels, etc.
Just the other morning I was in my bedroom at home thinking how nice it would be to have a balcony instead of just the window so that I could people watch, have the odd tipple, put on make-up, etc. The thought must have been triggered by all the happy moments spent on balconies in Icmeler. I too love to stay somewhere central so that there is plenty of action to be seen. This year we have stayed at Baydu, by Taj Mahal, a couple of times and found that a really good location. There was even a visit by a Turkish minister to the big hotel opposite so it was quite amusing to watch everybody running round after him and his entourage whilst sipping something cold!
