Vegetarians

On all my previous visits to Icmeler I have eaten meat but have now been a vegetarian for 9 months. Can anyone tell me which restaurants do nice veggie food please? Thankyou! 5 weeks and 4 days to go! :D

Hi Julie, Ive been Veggie since 2000 (mainly because I'm fussy & can't bring myself to eat anything with bones, skin, & other nasty bits!! ) I have tried fish a few times but its always had a lot of bones!!But weve been to Icmeler four times now & i've never gone hungry !! I was even tempted by hubby & kids steak - cos it looked so good but I resisted!! The omlettes and veggie pizza's are good everywhere I've had them, The lighthouse restaurant does a great veggie lasagne I also had jacket potato & salad one day but ordered the stuffed mushrooms with garlic & cheese AS WELL - FANTASTIC but struggled to walk or get a kiss from hubby after !!!! Aysima veggie curry is also really good!! as is broccoli pasta from Majestic! But my favorite meal ever in Icmeler was one I had at pinewood apartments I couldn't decide what I wanted, but the pepper steak on the menu looked really nice - so you've probably guessed it, I ordered pepper steak - but without the steak!!! loads of rice , roasted veg, mash & chips smothered in pepper sauce!! MMmmm & half the price :D most restaurants in Icmeler will make you whatever you fancy even if its not on the menu!! Enjoy :D

That's what I was going to say - most places are only to happy to make you something even if it's not on the menu, so I'm sure if you saw something you fancied, they'd rustle up a veggie version for you.

We have been to icmeler 5 years now and my son, who is veggie, has never struggled to find anything to eat. He does eat fish though, which helps. He favourite ever was a seabass dish and when they brought it out they boned it in front of him (sorry cant remember the name of the place but you had to go upstairs to it and you looked out on to the street below). But as said before, most placed will make you what you want. Di.

I've not been in there yet, but we keep saying we will try it. We were going to go in June but ended up somewhere else, it's on my list of to dos for September.
