we have just returned about midday the temp is about 35 in the shade on the beach but out in direct sunshine the temperature rose to 50+ limited by the fact that our thermometer only went up to 50. The evenings appeared fresher when we first arrived but got increasingly more sticky as week went on. Bring on the air conditioning 8) 8)

We would all complain if it was cold and wet - a nice chilled Effes makes everthing perfect.

Good grief, I always wonder where certain holiday brochures get their "average temperatures" chart from. It says Turkey is on average 35 degrees at most

It always baffles me ,i must assume the figures given on teletext etc are an average temp over so many hours and not a peak in full glare of sun .I am minibus driver so bring people back from airport very often and teletext will state 30 deg where they have been and they tell me it as been 40 deg.

Cheleas Boy from holiday truths who lives just outside Marmaris/Icmeler said it was 43C yesterday and predicted to be 47C today, in his words "It's warming up"

Warming up?
So what's the usual pattern there? I'd have thought it was about as hot as it should get about now, it's passed midsummer and all that - or does it get even hotter?

Warming up until Mid August then it decides to fall again - Back to bearable temps for September.

In the past I have actually found it tends to peak in the last two weeks in July and then levels out in August before dropping beginning of September.

Hi,
just got back from Icmeler last night and the temperature was 49C on Thursday and 46C Friday. The temperature in the evening when we were walking down the front said it was 30C at one in the morning.

The locals were saying this week coming they were forecasting temperatures up to 52C and very humid.

Will write my review in the next couple of days. Had a fab time as usual :D :D

Just got back on saturday and towards the end of the holiday we had a thermometer on the edge of the pool with us and it stopped working at about 52 degrees. It was too hot!! Spent lots of time in the pool
