Is the bakery near the School in the old village? The apartments we are in next week (non ICR) are next to the School and I wondered if its very far from the bakery for the fresh bread in the morning.

I think its somewhere near Tansas, but I haven't actually been to it yet, but what I remember from a previous thread its just around the corner from Tansas. Freshly baked bread - ooooh yum.

the bakery your talking about is 100 yds down from the school in the old village near the mosk ,where the turks play poker outside one of the cafe bars . there is a bakery behind tansas aswell but the one you want is in the old village.

The bread there is gorgeous as well. YUM!
Karen and I usually pass it on the way home and if we're up late enough (or early enough as it were since it's 4am!) we get ourselves a freshly baked loaf which is still warm from the oven for our breakfast the next day...well, the same day technically haha.
