Where is the Selam Restaurant please?

I am staying at the alvaro again twice this year where is the Selam as i have read some good reports about it?

It's just down from the Selen II - if you're standing at the Lemon Tree looking towards the beach, take the wee road immediately to the left and the Selam is at the other end of that, just down a wee bit.

If you are on the main road stand with your back to tansas go down the road where the red lion is past the travellers rest and about 30 yards further on the left is the selam. Great food nice people and no rushing.

We want to try it this year as it seems popular. Anybody know what kind of food they serve there ?

Mostly turkish but they will do anything you ask. It really is well worth a visit.

Thanks Lynda, I must admit I've not tried a lot of Turkish food (other than kebabs) over the years and I find casseroles a bit heavy. Can anyone recommend some Turkish dishes.

Hi Sue, we are going back to the Alvaro again this year in September, we have managed to get one of the private apartments this time :D

Can highly recommend Selam, we've been a few times and we cant fault it, the chocolate balls are to die for.
