It'd be nice and quiet LJ and the weather can be hit and miss - we've always been lucky though and the weather was like a good summer here

the evenings are cold though, so you'd need to take fleeces for the evening and most bars have patio heaters or wood burners to keep the chill off

I reckon it'd be a great time to go - if she doesn't fancy it, I'll come instead haha

hi lj i agree with fanny, cool at night ,take a wooly , temperatures in the day are spot on for older people, take a sun hat,we always go 1st.oct for two weeks,it also gets darker early about six o,clock ,sometimes it rains, but we can put up with that.still its warm enough for the beach, and the pool, and to walk about, some places will be ready for closing ,but still ok. enjoy we love it we are 68 &70 can,t wait to go bill atkinson

We've been twice in October - and both times it was lovely. Last year, the temperatures were great - sunny and warm every day and we didn't find it all that cold at night (but then, we're hardy Scots and used to freezing temperatures anyway  )
