I thought that the new type passport with the chip on it, was the answer to "everything".
Seems to me if they impliment any form of form filling etc, including advance info, it is making a mockery of their "modern system"
Also I should think it will be b----y chaos at the check-ins, and feel that if it is so, they would be advertiseing it big style to stop the ensueing pantomime. There is nothing that you can see on the Manchester Airport web page mentioning this.

Hmm, on a positive note, It could distract the T.C establishment from noticing what my suitcase weighs  I can dream  .

Dream on  . Trish

Peli, you're dead right! I can't believe I said that out loud, straws and grasping comes to mind! thought for a fleeting mad moment there may be a chink in T.C's armour, I do hope they already have these details for everyone, as you say it could be very annoying.

The stress of suitcase weights, and now this, is it any wonder our first stop in Icmeler is the bar! ( well thats my excuse anyway :D )

In regard to weights, has anyone seen or indeed challenged the check-in to see their "certificate of accuracy" from the custom and excise. that is if there is one ??. Is there any member clued up on this ??
I might be wrong  but arnt all these type of things, that involve the general public, supposed to be checked annually and the certificate in full view.
i;e shop scales, weighbridges, pub-measures, etc
Because I feel sure the differant times we have weighed in with more or less identical gear there has been a variation.
Trouble is who are going to put their holiday in jeopardy by argueing with them.

yeah thats the danger peli
they could just turn round and tell you that your not travelling and to be honest i would rather pay a little more for my luggage than have my precious holiday to icmeler taken away from me
