Postby Trixie33 » 01 May 2009 13:44

Hi all have booked up for next Sat to go to the Daystar Apts. Icr where so helpful on the phone but I couldnt book with them as couldnt get the flights :( I have been reading reviews from last year about these apt and now I worrying as alot are really negative about the hygiene of the place. I use ICR as a guide as I know the accom is always been great with them and now I see it on here I dont know what to think...........Anyone shed some light for me .............and tell me where exactly it is in relation to the main road with Noels,3 bells and Babadan on it.

Hi Trixie33
Me and the other half stayed at the Daystar in 07, the apartments were a reasonable size and clean with large balcony`s. The location is opposite the Rhodes, If you start at 3/4 bells.
Go to Azra jewellers , turn right, then go past Babadan Aparts to the Love Star Resturant, left then 1st right Rhodes on the left, Daystar on the Right.
If you search photo`s i did put a couple on.
Hope this helps

Hi

we stayed at the Rhodes last year and were talking to the owner about the club daystar he was telling us that they were going back into the ownership of the pearson who use to own them and that they should improve this year dont know if Admin can confirm that for you.

what I would also like to say is that we have stayed in 3 properties of ICR and have never had a problem and we have booked with the again this year staying at the Tuncay which is next to club daystar

hope you have a great holiday a sure you will :D :D

Thanks guys.......I have booked accomodation with ICR before and its always been great also have never heard anyone having probs in past with their accomodation.............The reviews for the Daystar are fab for 2007 but seem to go downhill in 2008............We also have never stayed in the old village before so that will be an experience.
We are not expecting luxury but we are 3 woman in our 30s and 40s who like our home comforts and only want clean sheets and towels.....lol

Hi
me and my friend stayed at the Daystar in May 2008, the apartments was gorgeous, spacious and really clean, the only thing we didnt like was the guys running the restraurant would not leave anyone alone, during a day, on a night, they would stop us as we were going out on a night as the only exit is through the restraurant and by reception, to try and get you to eat in there and stay in there all night, we ate in ther a couple of times but this was never enough for them, in the end we had to explain to them that we had been going to turkey for many years and had lots of friends to see and we like to explore on holiday. This seemed to work and eventually they let us by without stopping us. i go next friday but staying somewhere else, i really can't wait, 2 weeks of heaven, here i come!!! :D :D :D
Ps. hope you have a fab holiday!!!

Thanks Steph...........I know about the hassle and cant say Im looking forward to it as like you I have loads of people to go and see and you cant in a week eat everywhere(esp not in Icmeler).....Did you have bother with taking food in as some of the reviews said they had to hide their bags of shopping going in so the staff didnt see..................it is a self catering apartment so surely they cant stop you preparing your own food.

No we never had any trouble taking food in, we often visited Tansas and there's a little shop at top of the street and the old guy who runs it was always lovely to us, we just walked back into the apartments with our bags, we took some water down to the pool one day because we'd put it in the ice box so it was really cold, they never said anything to us. We stayed in the apartments for the Turkish night as they promised us it was different to all the others in Icmeler, it wasn't it was exactly the same. :)
I hope you have a great holiday!!

club daystar apts

We stayed here last June.

Be prepared to be hassled as they don't like you going out to other places to eat.

Be prepared for a long walk into the town as it isnt central I'm afraid.

Give them my love ---- NOT!

daystar

Postby danny el nino » 20 May 2009 08:46

i have stayed in daystar for the last 3 years and would of done this year but have hired a villa , and the only bad thing with daystar is its at the top of icmeler so the walk to the center or beach can be a pain in the heat but get a taxi its cheap and fast . otherwise there great anf good entertainment
