Hopefully you lovely ICR people could arange it? I mean deep sea big boat fishing, not tiddlers from the pier!!

As any fisherman knows this would also mean a debrief in maybe Havana bar afterwards....to compare notes etc....

Hi Eric my husband,Bob said he would be interested we arrive on the 15th.Have you been on one before? he has tried to go for a few years now,but could not get enough people to go and it works out to expensive on your own. so let us know.......

05 Mar 2009 22:25

if we could get 10 it would be great, i went the year before last and a whole day was £18 which was good.

05 Mar 2009 22:54

I'm there until the 21st and may be interested subject to wife letting me out for the day.

Do they supply all equipment plus bait and what type of species are we looking at possibly catching.

Looking forward to my next trip off Amlwch, Angelsey beginning of May, have a boat charters for £450 so £18 a day sounds excellent value.

Hi Eric and other Fishists
We were out the back end of Sept last year, and was watching a small boat motoring back an forth accross the bay, following something in the water. It turned out to be a float about 18inch long 4in or so wide. they were local lads in the boat and eventually pulled a long thing on board about 4 ft long, a bloody big fish. On asking the lads on the Kapisi beach, they were saying it was a long nosed fish, we thought they ment a swordfish.
The next day the same thing was happening, but with a differance, as we saw the start of the event, the lads had harpoon type 3 pronged spears, and after a few attempts over an hour or so they got one, and away they went back an forth with the rope and float attached. they eventually got the thing into the boat near the Marbas and Harmony beach, although from 60/70 yds away it looked bloody evil, a 4 or 5 foot long barracuda. This confirms what I saw a year or so ago when we were over near the island and the fish were jumping out of the water, not little ones, these were 12- 15 inch long I thought then there must be some thing big chasing them, maybe a dolphin but we would have seen that, so never did know at the time what it was.
Im not a fishist, dont know anything about it, but it was certainly interesting

Sorry  Fishermen,
Due to politicaly correctness its now "fisherpersons" --shortened to:--Fishist
"Fishist" its a pet word from the younger end of our family due to the P.C of this life we now live.
I.E- cyclist, tourist, nudist, artist, walkist, motorist, fishist, etc.

Erik !!,:- your mind is wandering

John G, :- It is Icmeler you never know !! , and, com.on,, you will be on a boat out of sight of the general public

Izaak Walton will be doing cartwheels in his grave

I think ANGLER was the word you were thinking of Peli

Teach your children Peli that a brother of the "angle" (rod) is called an angler as they will get some stick if they decide to take up the pastime in later life and ask someone on the river bank one day where the nearest fishist shop is

John G if you have trouble sourcing fishnets speak to Gene.he's your man for haute couture and accessories.he also does a lovely line in slingbacks

07 Mar 2009 09:56
