I too love Fethiye and the area around it. There are some good places to visit if you stay overnight. There are tombs, ghost village Kakayov (sp), Saklikent Gorge and Patara beach. You might need a couple of nights  Fethiye itself although interesting to visit does not have the same ambience as Icmeler as it is much more cosmopolitan (in my opinion) :D

I'd like to go to Kayakoy sometime
it must be quite eerie - sad too I suppose but in a poignant way
Glen Coe in Scotland does that to me too, love the place

In reply to yours of 18th (just got back from checking out progress of Great Granddaughter to be in Bristol) I meant our group would need three rooms, two twos and a single, not the whole group!!!! The more the merrier, should be a good couple of days

Just seen Tinkerbelle's photos of the ghost village, that has got to be a must for those of us who have not seen it. Could a visit there be incorporated in visit to Fethiye?
