No snow here, we had some yesterday but its all away now. Its a beautiful, sunny day here, pity we couldn't have some Icmeler heat to go with it but its biting cold.

Just been down to Tesco and they have sun lotion on offer. I got L'Oreal Solar Expertise SPF15 for £2.62 and I'm sure I paid around £10 for it last year, its the one that protects against premature skin ageing but think I'm a bit too late for that!! They also have their Ambre Solaire at a decent price, it varies from around £3-£5 depending on SPF you choose.

I am a poor septuagenarian pensioner who wants to brighten his lady love's evening on Valentines night. With the current credit crunch in full swing, I have have to cut back to three visits to Icmeler this year so can not afford to take her out for a meal (see also previous blocs about bank accounts). I can boil water and make a mean beans on toast. Any suggestions please for a menu.

I`ve noticed quite a few Scots browse the forum. A question My son is taking his girlfriend to Glasgow this weekend. After checkout on sunday, normally around 10.30am, where can they go to `see` what Glasgow / Scotland has to offer. I was thinking possibly the Trossachs, bear in mind they have to be back in Manchester for her 10pm. flight home to Ireland. thanks for any suggestions.

Actually, she's already got one - hubby has a company car and I've got a big 4x4 so there was nothing else for her to practise in. We bought a Ford Ka (secondhand, obviously!) last year with that in mind. She's now off flying solo, as it were, in Bertha (as she christened the car!!)

My baby (26) passed his theory last week, he is delighted with that. He has also applied to join the Police Force - it seems my baby boy is growing up now........I cant wait to see him again. He moved to Nottingham Oct 08, although I see him regularly, I miss him like mad.

Sorry I cant help, although I am Scottish, I left Scotland in Sept 1982, so I wouldnt really know where to recommend them to go in Glasgow. Only thing I would recommend is to get a Scotch Pie...........mmmm, after all these years I still miss them.

I am coming to Scotland at the end of February for my Brothers Ruby Wedding, but only as far as Dumfries, looking forward to bringing some good Scottish beef home with me to Wales.
