Me and the wife usually take £1400 for two weeks (£100 a day), this more than covers lunch and eaving meals out everyday, ice creams, Efes, wifes cocktails, and the odd breakfast, when we don't eat at the hotel.
This also covers any purchases we make, and since we have stopped buying leather and fake tat from the market, and tons of apple tea and turkish delight that we never drink or eat, we usually bring back a monkey.
Guess when we go next year with the sprog, the £1400 will probably get spent.

With your back to the bank, facing Azra's Jewellers (old merc and BMW bike outside) and Pop In, walk up the road on the right hand side of Azras up towards the old Village. You'll pass Romance on your right and the Gunay on your left and it's next door to The Gunay - 'Best Supermarket' Memhet is lovely in there and gives the best rates we've found in Icmeler and the more you change and if you keep going back he gives you better rates - we found with (we call him Sadam Hussain look alike
) him in the shop under ICR would tell you great rates then when you got back with money to change he'd say it's dropped, he did that 2 - 3 times on us in June so we always go to Best now.
The Groccers is on the side of Best Supermarket and we couldn't believe how cheap we were getting the salad stuff for, we were tipping him because we thought it was too cheap. We bought, 2 lettuces, 1 green pepper, 1 red pepper, 4 red onions, 4 big tomatoes, a cucumber, for 2 lira, I think we gave him 4 lira tho as it was so cheap even for 4 lira. One day we didn't have enough change and he didn't have enough to change our note so said come back and pay tomorrow.
Pizza Tomatoe is a little further up the road on the left hand side, we got 2 (small/medium) half chickens for 9 lira. Was enough for 4 with a salad and bread for an evening meal. They also sell Ice lollies and ice creams cheap too, 75cent for small ones we saw in other shops for 2 lira
Never tried their pizzas but would always see one of the lads wizzing off to deliver some whenever we passed.

we go in july, take about £1800, for 2 adults and 2 teenagers.....eat out 2 or 3 times a day, drinks etc, plus plenty of boat trips, and a jeep safari...

Gosh, you all take loads.
Me and the Hubby tend to take about £700 for two weeks, we generally have breakfast in the room and do a shop in tansas when we get there, then most days we have lunch and dinner out. We also do a couple of trips perhaps boat and jeep safari and always come back with some clothes/shoes/hand bags.

Two adults and two teenage daughters, last year we budgeted £130 a day for everything, during our stay the lira dropped to 2.19 to the £ but we still came home with money after 18 days, in fact we averaged £118 a day actual spends, that covered food, drinks, trips (4 in total) and even a nice new gold ring for my darling wife. If the Lira had remained at 2007 levels we would have saved another £150+

Karen and I took £500 each for 3 weeks and it was more than enough for us. We have breakfast in the apartment and sometimes had lunch in there if we were just lounging around the pool for the day. We ate out every evening and went out every night til we couldn't keep our eyes open anymore and probably had about 8 drinks a night each.
We didn't do too much shopping, but I like to buy myself a couple of silver bits each year. Last year I bought some birthday presents, gorgeous CZ and silver bracelet for my friend for £8!! There's one in H Samuels just like it for £30 so was really chuffed!

Turkey is SOOO cheap, food, drink etc. iven if the exchange rate isnt great at the moment.
Look around, some places are cheaper than others.
I think 2500 will be plenty!!

£25 per person per day is plenty and that allows for a good few pints and plenty of grub.

We usually save for £100 per day, thats between 2 of us, but that includes trips etc.
