cheers for that Ladies, the jury's still out

she got back to me and said that she's noticed a couple of scratches and is going to try Tcut to get them out. Hmmmm, odd that, I thought if anything there may be a dent type bump. She went on to say that she's not cleaned the car for ages, so they may have been there a while

I really thought she was ringing to say that she'd got whiplash - though I was doing around 5/10 mph before I tried to break!!!! If that's the case, am fine with it - after all that's what my insurance is for and I did run in the back of her albeit gently. And I've got no claims protection at least!!

hey ho it could have been worse couldn't it!?!?!

I can't quite see the insurance folk agreeing to that
Maybe it should have been me that bumped into him, my tendency is to rush out of the car apologising repeatedly!!! Not that I make a habit of having accidents though!
Hope you manage to get it sorted out

latest update .........
she's just rung me back to say that the tcut's not worked and she doesn't want to make it worse, so wants to go through insurance
only to be expected I suppose, but I must admit that I'm a little suspiscious re scratches on a car she told me she rarely cleans!!!
it was only a little nudge straight on!?!!?

thing is, I thought I'd got protected no claims, but thinking about it I don't think I have grrrrrrr
looks like some local garage is going to coin it in with a full replacement bumper and respray

really wishing I'd left things now cos when I got out of the car when it happened, she was adamant there was no damage

live and learn I suppose

am in thinking mode now
he heh he If I was the litigious sort, I could always try to claim off the local authority for not gritting the road

so it looks like my insurance will go up next year AND I've just found out that I've lost my free parking space at work

never mind, a bad week can only get better - good job I booked my Turkey flights for Aug 9 in June 08 at bargain prices
who needs the credit crunch with the luck I'm having at the moment

time for a glass of wine I think

Depending if it was a trunk road or local road, if its trunk road, get in touch with your Trunk Road Agents, if its a local road, Highways Dept at your local Council should be able to tell you if you can claim against them. I know you can make a claim if they have been negligent on the road, eg manholes etc, but as for weather conditions, I dont know.

Hope you sort it out soon with as least trouble and expense as possible.

I'm angry today because I'm being prevented from shopping by the elements!!
My car tyres are now encased in about a foot of snowy ice because I have not used it for the past 5 days.
I intended to go and get some essential shopping done while people avoided going out, but I'm snowed in and can't walk that far. And the other car is being used all day for a hockey game. Grrr!
