Strange isnt it. Theres me been thinking all these years that I was the only one who had a joint account for both of us and the other half has her money in her account. Glad I'm not on my own!! Suggestions please on how we can change it. Dont mention going on strike cause I wouldn't win that one.

LOL :D Silverfox, very funny :D
Why dont you try changing the P.I.N number.
Never tried to do it my-self. Just a thought

I think Iam going to have a very silly sunday

Anns phylosophy on money is,

"What is yours is Mine, and what is Mine is my Own"

Joint accounts are solely set up so that the other half can gain access to to your money.

Glad she never reads this forum.

I said I'm not going to buy anything this year, but i do need some new bath towels  so I'm going to get them in Turkey, last time they were 3 for £10 and were really good. I also have loads of bags, just thrown my Chloe one away as the padlock broke after 4 years. Loved that bag.

Given up on the clothes now as you can get them cheaper at home. Our downfall is the jewellery but I'm going to resist from buying I this year (I hope)

Funny
Mrs jambogarry asked me last week how much we have in the account.
Our account I asked ... NO MY ACCOUNT she said ,
And then came the confession,,, Sorry but I spent £60 on CxxP yesterday.
From our Joint account..Not hers , but OURS
Still love her though....xxxxxx.

OK...so am I the only woman on here who HATES shopping? Seriously, I detest it and do it online wherever possible. I did buy a fake designer bag when we were at Icmeler market last June, but that was only because my daughter and her friend wanted to go and both wanted bags, so I haggled my way to a better deal.
I'd rather go to the football than go shopping any day of the week!

You could come to the footy any day with me and the boys ( callum 9 , Gordon 6 .)
It beats shopping on a sat up the toon any day.

did your sons team win ???

Have a good day..

My son's team got a 1-1 draw, and I'm a ST holder at Tynecastle, so I'm at the footy most weekends anyway. Shopping? You can keep it - although I do confess to bringing home a few souvenirs from my trips to Icmeler. Well. I've got to have something to remind me of the place until my next visit...:)

Peli
We don't have a joint account, it all goes in Her's so it is her's not mine she spends, I'n sure you understand now why it's

I don't like shoppimg either but have to admit to buying cushion covers and towels last year and tea towels   Oh and an authentic Turkish belly dancers outfit

01 Feb 2009 19:46

Wow, I'd love to get myself a belly dancing outfit, but I'd be far to scared to ever wear it, think the room would soon empty haha!

We never seem to buy too much out there, think I'm always scared people will know that I've bought fakes...it's silly but I'm weird like that :) must admit that I was tempted by a watch, until I realised it said Cucci instead of Gucci LOL

Hi LynnJenny, I'm another one that HATES shopping but especially in Icmeler, no matter whose money it is
The bit I really hate is the haggling, given that shopping's the thing i hate most in the world, I just want them to tell me the [real] price so I can get on with enjoying my holiday ha ha ha

Any chance you could go for me if I give you a list please!?!?!?!

01 Feb 2009 23:38

I hate shopping aswell but when i am in icmeler i set one day out of my holiday to get bags (afraid i am a bagaholic!) ,watches, towels, t towels etc, etc, then i get back to the sunbed as quickly as possible!!!1

Jools the outfit is my 7 year old daughters :D :D :D :D

02 Feb 2009 15:59

there was an elderly couple at our aparts last year and the woman had spent over £300 on one bag to take back home for her teenage grand-daughter...now I don't know too much about the price of these bags but this was her first time to turkey and I don't think she knew she would have been expected to haggle....I didn't have the heart to tell her.

they did have a great holiday though and were talking about returning this year so hopefully she won't get fleeced again.

Wow, you've got to feel sorry for them, but I bet the shopkeeper or stallholder thought it was his lucky day!
As I say, I hate shopping as a whole, but actually don't mind the haggling bit, must be the canny Scot thing!
